Cartoon Network (abbreviated as CN, as of 2004) is an American broadcast network, owned by Turner Broadcasting System and Time Warner, that mainly airs animated programs ranging from action to comedy. The founder was Betty Cohen, who was the president until 2001, when she was succeded by Jim Samples. Samples was president until 2007, where he was succeed by Stuart Snyder, who is the current president of Cartoon Network. The channel launched on October 1, 1992 when Turner bought Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1991. Originally, Cartoon Network aired classic shows, which any age could watch, for 24 hours from Turner, but now, the channel serves for shows that are for children and adult audiences. Throughout time, Cartoon Network changes its timeslot with its night broadcaster, Adult Swim, which airs shows towards teen and adult audiences. Cartoon Network is known for airing famous anime shows like Pokémon, Bakugan, Beyblade, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach.
Involvement in Tenkai Knights[]
On August 24, 2013, Cartoon Network aired the first episode of Tenkai Knights. They aired new episodes on Saturdays at 7:30am (Eastern)/6:30am (Western). After "Oh No, I Didn't" was aired, Cartoon Network took a break for four weeks, while Teletoon was still airing new episodes, but then continued on January 04, 2014 with "Robofusion!". Sometime, Tenkai Knights re-aired episodes at 6:30am on Fridays. When BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz was coming to an end, Tenkai Knights moved to an earlier timeslot, which was 7:00am. 7:00am to 7:30am re-aired episodes where 7:30am to 8:00am was new episodes. Starting with "Beware Betrayal", new episodes aired at 7:00am. After the airing of "Looking Forward, Looking Back", Cartoon Network took a break, while Teletoon aired new episodes, that was supposed to end on July 12, 2014, but was pushed to August 09, 2014. However, the date was then pushed further to September 6, 2014. Starting on June 30, 2014, Tenkai Knights now re-airs episodes at 6:30am everyday.
